Melanie is a 2022 graduate of Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas. While in law school she was a member of the Family Law Student Association. Melanie focused primarily on family law and earned a concentration in the subject. She also worked in the Family and Veterans’ Advocacy Clinic where she assisted low-income clients with family law matters.

Melanie has lived in Denton all her life and has always wanted to serve her community. She is a 2018 graduate of the University of North Texas where she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work.
